The PCA Perfecting Peel System was developed to address mature skin, acne and pigmentation issues associated with all Fitzpatrick skin types. This peel contains:
- 20% Mandelic Acid
An AHA with benefits for enhanced exfoliation that has also been shown to be beneficial for evening skin discolouration.
- 10% lactic acid
An AHA that not only loosens desmosomes to encourage exfoliation but also contributes to the skin's natural moisturizing factor (NMF).
An antioxidant that supports clearing discolouration.
A potent antioxidant that has also shown benefits for evening the skin tone.
Skin Type Indications
- Fitzpatrick I, II, III, IV and V.

This peel is made up of salicylic acid and other natural ingredients, making it the perfect choice for those with acne prone skin. It is safe to use during an acne breakout, and can be used at any time. Its exfoliating, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits refine the skin's texture and bring a clean freshness to the skin.
Main Contraindications (a brief summary)
Pregnancy, lactation, allergy to asprin, hypersensitive skin, history of cold sores, hypertrophic scars or keloids, tanning in the last 2 weeks, skin cancer, prior radiation treatments (within one month), prior oral retinoids or topical medication, acutane in the past 6 months, facial surgery in the past 6 months, cuts or wounds on the face, Pumpkin treatment is contraindicated for fitzpatrick types V and VI (Brown and Black skin types). Medique peel is safe for these skin types.

Is there any down time after a chemical peel?
You will experience flaking for 2-5 days after your chemical peel. This can be anywhere from light flaking to moderate flaking depending on the strength of the peel you choose. It Is recommended that you avoid the sun, sauna, gym, wearing making or washing your face for the first 24 hours after your peel.
